Bonjour! My name is Jacqueline. I am a Swiss-Nigerian journalist, author and filmmaker. I speak French, English and German, I’m still working on improving my Spanish, yet my ultimate goal is to be fluent in Yoruba, my mother tongue.

Join me on my quest to find my Nigerian Biological Mother, Rita. She gave birth to me in Geneva when she was just seventeen years old, while studying in the Swiss Alps. If you have any precious information, please email me.
A little more about my journey so far.
On June 6, 2020, the murder of George Floyd compelled me to write a personal essay and testimony about my life as a Black woman who was born and raised in the french-speaking part of Switzerland. The piece went viral across my country and it then led me into spending several years living in Mexico and in the United States.
An incredible experience which changed my life.

I work as a staff writer since 2021
for Swiss online newspaper watson.ch/fr.
Prior to becoming a journalist, I worked within the sports events management industry for competitions such as the IOC Olympic Games, NBA’s Basketball Without Borders and the UEFA Euro Football Championship.
My entrepreneurial spirit led me into organizing my own events, from Geneva to Paris.
Funky Brunch was quite the adventure.
